Director of Clinical Operations
Dr. Nancy Kibry, Ed.D. is a native Tennessean with a lifelong commitment to public service, mental health, and supporting those who serve others. Her professional journey began in law enforcement, where she worked for the Lewisburg Police Department from 1977 to 1984 as a dispatcher, commissioned officer, city magistrate, and court clerk. During this time, she also trained and served as an EMS provider, sparking a deep and lasting interest in the psychological wellbeing of first responders and the communities they protect.
That passion led Dr. Kibry to earn her doctorate in Psychology in 1995. For 23 years, she served the State of Tennessee in the Departments of Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, specializing in forensic evaluations to determine competency to stand trial. After retirement, she continued this work with Corizon Health, serving as Clinical Director at Riverbend Maximum Security and DeBerry Special Needs prisons from 2012 to 2018.
In the years that followed, Dr. Kibry expanded her expertise into residential treatment centers, focusing on individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. When she learned of Magnolia Meadow’s mission, she recognized an opportunity to bring a unique and valuable perspective—particularly in serving veterans and first responders navigating trauma and high-stress careers.
Dr. Kibry is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also holds credentials as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist. Her clinical approach integrates specialized training with lived experience in crisis-response fields.
Outside of her professional role, Dr. Kibry enjoys martial arts, horseback riding, and outdoor activities. She considers it an honor to walk alongside those who protect and serve, helping them reclaim their strength, peace, and purpose.
